The 5 Rules

What Does It Mean to Be Majestic:

A guild is a like-minded group of players coming together for the purpose of having a good time. For some, that good time is only achieved by mastery of the game and the domination of other players as well as the environment. Others are just looking for the modern equivalent of the corner bar. But the point is ultimately to enjoy yourself, and help the other members have as much fun as possible.

As a member of this guild, we ask that you do the following. If you do not think you can hold to these guidelines, please do not accept the terms and go your way in peace. If, after joining you feel that other members are not following these guidelines, please contact a guild officer.

1. Real Life Comes Before the Game. Our real lives must take precedence over the game. School, children, family, and work are more important. Remember the game will be here when you have taken care of your other responsibilities.

2. Act Majestically! Please act with honesty, integrity, kindness, and consideration. Each individual's behavior reflects on us all as a whole.

3. Guild and Guildies First: This means when you are organizing a party then look for your guildies before others. If a guildie needs help then help them even if it isn't exactly convenient at the moment.

4. If you are on during the time of the Guild Ranking Battle (every Saturday 12 PST) then you must attend it. The Guild Ranking Battle is where MajestiCs come together as a united group to support our Guild.

5. All Majestics must have a Level 55+ or level 30 GRB (AoE) toon. AoE (Area of Effect) toons are defenders, mages, and priests and are preferred.

CODE OF CONDUCT(Rule #2 in brief)

Guild Chat, Common, Area, and Whispers-

Not Allowed: Disrespectful speech such as: cursing, sexually explicit, racist, sexist, and generally offensive speech is not allowed. Asking for gold, gear, WTB*, WTS*, or power levelling is annoying and disrespectful of your fellow guildie's 'air space' and is not allowed.

*Buying and Selling: It is allowed to say "Any guildie who needs armor lapasia can whisper me" or to do so with other AP items which can't be found in-game. We as a group normally share in-game dropped items. If you have an UBER armor set or weapon we prefer you keep it in guild if you can. Contact an officer rank 1-3 if you have items such as elemental weapons or armor before you sell them in apulune. We may very well purchase the item from you. You can also post on the trade forum on the website.

Allowed: Asking about quest items, help with quests, clarification of MajestiC rules, asking for officers aid in solving issues with other players, asking for general advice about builds + skills + general stuff is ok and encouraged.

Trade Chat and Party Chat- Anything goes in Trade Chat except for immature and demeaning chat which reflects badly on MajestiC as a group. WTB, WTS, sexual comment which are not sexist, racist, etc...are fine. Same with Party chat as long as no-one in the party finds the words 'offensive'. Take care in party because what is 'harmless' to you might very well be 'offensive' to another. We have many young players and mature folks who don't find the words of teenagers and young adults to be appropriate nor conducive to having 'fun'. It's basically 'air pollution' to them and ruins the gaming experience. As an example: I don't find a bit of flirting between folks to be offensive, but wouldn't stand for sexually explicit words in my party. Rule of Thumb: If someone objects then apologize and quit the line of though in party chat(also speak up if you're offended). We take 'speech' very seriously in MajestiC. It's our desire to maintain a 'safe and friendly' family environment within the guild.

Treatment of OTHER Players: It's expected that MajestiCs behave MajetiCally in all situations as each of our behaviors reflects on the group. Please refrain from 'losing your cool' with other players outside of the guilds or with Fury players'. It's fine to return like with like jibes in PvP or with Fury who belittle you. It's not fine to curse them out or make dishonorable comments or question their parentage. In other words, return kindness for anger, love for hate, understanding for foolishness. MajestiCs are called to a 'higher standard' of game play than the average player. Making jests or embarrasing other players is fine if they are rude, crude, and immature. However if you 'lose your cool' and begin cursing and becoming rude or crude yourself, it's time to move on and shut your mouth. Our behavior determines how we are perceived on Teos. We have a good reputation on TEos let's make sure we maintain it through our superior game-play. We don't want to find ourselves in a situation like some of the other guilds have found themselves in(I won't mention TE names.)

Kill Stealing - Being a big KSer myself I feel this needs addressing. I want you to consider before saying in common chat "quit KSing", "don't KS", or "I hate you, you dirty KSer" to understand the way the game works. It's very important you understand that you might indeed be the KSer in any of the above situations. There is anywhere from a 2-3 second delay from your computer to the server to the other persons computer. Soooo....this means that you target a mob, attack it, and then there's another player on the same mob a moment later. On his computer he targetted the mob, began to attack it, then you attacked it later. Two players - two perspectives. It's just a reality of the delay on the internet. It's quite possible each of you 'thought' you got there first because you did on your own computer! However, the other guy saw himself get there first. Don't automatically believe what your eyes have seen. This is especially rough with ranged attacks from archers, mages, defs, and priests. The only way to tell for sure is with the aggro of the mob. The server knows which one got there first. If the other player has the aggro then he did indeed get there first, no matter what you saw on your computer screen. So...don't be quick to begin yelling at him because on his screen he may have gotten there first too!

WTB, WTS, WTT clarification here. It is allowed in GC but must not be spammed. Constant asking for assist in all aspects of game-play is not allowed even though it's ok to ask occasionally for help. In other words, buy and sell and ask for help, but not constantly. Continuously asking for aid for gear, gold, levelling, etc... will prove you're unable to play the game independently. Even though the guild is here to achieve some aspects of the game as a group, basic game play and development must be done by each individual. If you're unable to do any quests yourself or gain any levels then you probably are playing the wrong game. smile

Thanks,

Marc
